	Simeon Bigelow was a Revolutionary War soldier, a private in Capt. Haddocks company from Massachusetts in 1775, and an artificer for Captin Oaks in 1777. He served from 1775 to at least 1778. He fought in the Battles of Bunkerhill, Lexington, and Germantown. He spent the winter of 1777-1778 at Valley Forge. He knew George Washington and General Putman. (taken from pages 570 to 580 of his application for a pension).
